The Republican Party...A let down to the people

Well here we are in yet another jam, no its not bullets flying, no its not even the fact that the Taliban is regrouping in Afghanistan, its the dreaded "E" word.. the Economy.

If you have paid attention to the news as of late, you may have noticed that the economy has not been to hot (and that's being over nice!). The unemployment rates have sky rocketed, the housing market is at record numbers for foreclosures, and banks, yes banks, are going into bankruptcy. All of these you've heard and read about day in and day out I'm sure, but what haven't you heard? Well if memory serves me correctly, there is still a "president" in that big white house on Pennsylvania Avenue even thou you wouldn't know it with all the back and forth attacks with the impending presidential election.

Well this should come as no surprise to the American people. President Bush, as usual, is acting like a toddler, hiding when you know you've done something wrong and you don't want your parents to find out. What a time to not make yourself available! As of this writing I'm awaiting a press conference by "Mr." Bush on the flailing economy crisis and we've already been told there will be " no mention of any new plans, policy changes " huh?? Why not??? You are the president,
the commander in chief, get out of your chair, stop knocking the Democrats, and DO something!
You were elected by the American people to "lead" us, to serve the best interest of the people in a time of crisis, well it looks there is certainly a crisis here! But No, you choose to pass the blame and sit back , cancel your trips so you can sit and watch your cartoons and eat your Ding Dongs while the American worker goes to bed not knowing if they will have their money in a solid bank when they wake up or even a job to go! Well Bush, we all see your strategy, just wait it out and let the next guy fix your screw ups.

But not to worry everyone, the next Republican hopeful duo, John McCain and Sarah Palin are here to the rescue.. or are they? Was it not just this week that John McCain got up in front of supporters at a rally and said " our economy is fundamentally strong " .. are you kidding me?
So whats McCain's bright idea to fix this issue? To start a commission to look into why this happened. This is gonna fix our economy? This is going to stop our borrowing money from China? This is gonna bring back jobs to the American people? No McCain it isn't. Its just a pathetic attempt for you to pretend you know what America needs.

Lets take a quick look at the last eight years our nations history. We have a Republican president who, lied to us and lead us all to an unjust war, made the US government LARGER by inventing the branch of "Homeland Security", and now, almost bringing our economy to the brink of collapse. Wow, how could one man screw all this up and go against your OWN party's belief to take the government out of eveyone's day to day life?

Now I know what some of you are saying, what about the Democratic controlled Congress? Well what not allot of people realize is how many bills and legislature they have passed and that went to the president for signing. So what happened to these? Well, they were vetoed by, you guessed it, the Republican president. So of course the Congress is going to get blamed for their lack of effort, but in reality the president sits there eagerly with his veto pen to strike down any idea brought to him by someone not in his political affiliation.

Well to sum all this up simply, the Republican party is a big let down to the American people. It's gleam in US history has been tainted by this current administration and has only brought the American standards down to an all time low. And if you think it will only get better with John McCain at the helm, well have to wait a long time to see what his brilliant "commission" will turn up. Yet another smokescreen by another Republican.
