A Headless Republican Party

Well what a day, if you watched any news events live today on any news network you had the opportunity to witness history. No, not the momentous events that bring a hearty feeling of joy and glee when one has the chance to watch a historic moment, but a virtual nightmare come true. Not only did we witness a United States President's national plan fall into the abyss of yet another executive day dream, but as a direct result of that we saw the stock market drop to an all time one days loss of 777 points. How things manage to spiral out of control is still a point of "he said, she said" tactics, but one thing is very plainly obvious, the Republican party is in a world of trouble, and losing the faith of the American populous.

Earlier this morning, we saw the President of the United States, George Bush, get on television and all but promise that the $700 Billion dollar buyout would pass the House of Representatives. We were all told that the Bush administration , John McCain, and House Republican leader Boehner, we in direct contact with at least 12 Republican voters and could guarantee this bill would pass. Well the clock ticked down to vote time and by the end of the day there was no passing vote. Why? Well come to find out that the "rock solid" republicans that were supposedly unified under their fearless leader George Bush and their Knight in shining armour John McCain went back on their "word" and voted overwhelming against the bill. This signals one thing, the Republican party has no leader.

And if things weren't already bad enough, shortly after the dismal failure of the potential life line to the almost flat lined American economy, the leader of the Republicans of the House, Boehner, stated in a press conference that if the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn't pass blame in a speech earlier in the day that this was the fault of the Republicans they might have just been on board with passing this bill. Is this stuff for real? Is this the time for partisan finger pointing? Or is just the fact that the Republicans have no true sense of direction for the financial security of the American people/economy. Now how can this be? Well its very apparent that we now have a a "Lame Duck" president in the White House, if this president cannot even gather up his own party members to come to an agreement on behalf of the American people/economy the future of the Republican party is very much (and well deserved) in jeopardy. One other example, the sheer political "stunt" of Presidential Nominee John McCain to suspend his campaign and return to Washington to rally the Republican troops and "reach across the isle" and get Democrats and Republicans to work together to solve this fiscal fiasco. Well his presence apparently has done wonders because this sad excuse for a Presidential Nominee has done NOTHING but boast that he was solely responsible for being the savior of saving the Bailout Bill. Well not even the next presidential hopeful McCain could pull his own party together, McCain this should be a slap in the face dose of reality for you. Not even your own party really care what you say.

So what does all this really mean? Well its more than obvious that the Republican party has no leader. Time is now ticking for the Republican party, no not for another bill, but for the patience of the American people. This is yet another huge let down on behalf of the Republican party to the already beleaguered people that have seen a war, bigger government, and now.. on the brink of a depression. Way to go Republicans, well, at least one thing is very clear. The Dems will have NO problem in the upcoming November election, and this is probably a good thing after all. From what I have seen the Republicans can no longer be listened too or trusted. They would rather complain about and change their vote because someone said something about them then actually protecting the lively hood of this country and its financial present and future.

So on election day, make your vote count, vote Democrat, at least the majority of them can actually vote what they say.. or at least when this country need it to happen. Its time for a well deserved change, I am fed up with Republican lies and misdirection. So follow these words Republicans, get out of Washington, you've let this country down for the last time.
